Welcome
Immanuel is a church community in the heart of Savo. Our mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide a church for all those who seek it. Whether you have been a Christian all your life or are interested in Christianity, you are welcome to come, see and hear what we are all about.

Sunday Worship
When? At 3:00 PM
Where? Alava-talo: Siikaniemenkatu 4, 70620 Kuopio
What to expect? Our church activities are still taking shape, and many areas of service are still waiting for volunteers. We gather to hear God’s Word from the Bible, to sing and play music together for God and for one another, and to receive teaching from the Bible. Our services are a blend of old liturgical traditions and newer Christian practices. The beautiful sound of children’s lives can also be heard during our Sunday gatherings—and it is always welcome.

Sunday School for children
When? Sundays at 2:00 PM
Where? Alava House: Siikaniemenkatu 4
Sunday School is a place where children learn, through Bible teaching and crafts, how the entire Bible points to Jesus Christ.
At the moment, we have one Sunday School group intended for children approximately 5–10 years old. (Sunday School language is Finnish)

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14)
Meet Our Church Planters

Raimo and Annemari Survo have served the Church in various contexts for more than 10 years. Raimo spent his childhood in Lappeenranta and studied there to become a carpenter. Annemari is originally from Pieksämäki. They met at Logos Ministries of Finland's youth camp (Kansan Raamattuseura) and sensed a call to ministry in God's kingdom at a young age. They got married in 2011, and both studied music pedagogy in Kuopio. Raimo studied at the Agricola Theological Seminary and graduated with a "Master of Theological Studies" degree. Raimo is an ordained minister (teaching elder) in the International Presbyterian Church, and he is a pastor in the Immanuel Kuopio. They are also National Partners in the Mission to the World organization, which spreads the Gospel of Christ around the globe. Raimo and Annemari have three children: Adelina, Andreas, and Eleanor.
